Lochs and Whisky Galore

This morning we head to “The Queens View”, Loch Tummel – Queen Victoria’s favourite spot, with magnificent sights of purple clad hillsides, shimmering loch and rustic autumn leaves. We stop in Kenmore where the full autumnal glory of Loch Tay is there to see. Into the Highlands and Killin before continuing along the shoreline of Loch Earn. Crieff is the spiritual home of the Famous Grouse, Scotland’s oldest and most visited distillery. A guided tour is arranged together with two tastings.

Glamis Castle and Gardens and Enchanted forest

The autumn theme continues through the Vale of Strathmore to Glamis Castle and Gardens – the childhood home of the Queen Mother. In October, the abundance of trees and exotic plants ensures we are treated to a glorious spectacle of autumn colours against stunning architecture. After an early dinner, entry is included into the dazzling visuals and innovative design that is the Enchanted Forest. Set in stunning woodland near Pitlochry and using the forest as a natural backdrop, experience a light show that is quite simply out of this world.

The Trail of the Three Cities

Firstly, we visit Dundee with it’s the new £1bn waterfront development. Then over the Tay Bridge and into Fife and St Andrews, the home of golf. Finally, the river city of Perth, a great place for shopping.
