Afterwards, a coastal drive to Mount Stuart - a 19th-century neo-gothic mansion with extravagant interiors and over 300 acres of landscaped gardens with a wide selection of native and exotic flora. LOCK FYNE, INVERARAY AND CASTLE
Morning free in Dunoon, you may like to visit Castle House Museum or explore the town! Afternoon tour along The Holy Loch and Loch Fyne to the ancient maritime port of Inveraray. We visit Inveraray Castle and Gardens, the castle is home to the Duke of Argyll playing an important role in the shaping of Scotland through the ages. The garden covers sixteen acres. The remainder being park and woodland extending to 180 hectares forming one of the most important designed landscapes in Scotland.
MULL OF KINTYRE AND ISLE OF GIGHA
We take the ferry to cross Loch Fyne at Portavadie to Tarbert. Travel south along the Mull of Kintyre coastline to catch the short ferry crossing with your coach over to the unspoilt Isle of Gigha – 7 miles long and 1 mile wide, with sandy beaches, clear green seas and an increasing population of 165. With entrance into Achamore Gardens the 50 acres of natural woodland, large walled garden and pond area with many rare plants. After visiting the vantage points on the islands, a soup and sandwich lunch is provided, before retracing our steps back to Dunoon
