We enjoy a whole day to explore Bath (coach will set down in the centre). Designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, Bath is home to some of the finest architectural sights in Europe; such as the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge and The Roman Baths.
For over 2000 years, bathing in Bath’s mineral rich waters has attracted visitors from far and wide. Today you can combine old with new, visiting the Roman Bath’s Museum and then enjoy the natural thermal waters at Thermae Bath Spa.
Longleat, nestled within 900 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped grounds, is home to the UK’s original Safari Park, one of the best examples of Elizabethan architecture and an abundance of exciting attractions including Jungle Kingdom and Animal Adventure where you can get up-close and personal with truly amazing animals.
We start with the famous drive through, the highlight being the famous Lions of Longleat. Longleat House one of the finest Elizabethan stately homes in the country.
We travel to Bishops Lydeard for a ride on the scenic West somerset railway which runs beside the Quantock Hills for 23 miles, the longest steam heritage line in the country and a country branch line of the old Great Western Railway.
The train terminates at Minehead, where we enjoy free time to explore this popular traditional resort.
Overlooking the spectacular Limpley Stoke Valley near Bath, the hotel is a stunning property with extensive gardens and elegant spacious publicrooms.
It offers the opportunity to relax in the peaceful Georgian lounge in front of the roaring log fires during the winter months.
There is a lift, however there are several steps around the hotel.
