Medieval and Roman Chester

Chester is packed full of treasures such as the medieval walls and picturesque black and white timbered buildings.

The Cathedral dates from the 11th century and the Grosvenor Museum has relics from Roman times, when Chester was known as Deva.

You can shop in the galleried ‘Rows’, which date from medieval times.
