Black and White Village Trail
We visit the cathedral city of Worcester. The magnificent cathedral has a variety of architecture, from Norman to Gothic and the Porcelain Museum is well worth a visit. In the afternoon, we travel to Evesham to board a canal boat for a delightful two hour cruise through tranquil countryside on the River Avon, with a delicious cream tea included.
Break for lunch in the attractive market town Leominster. Later follow the black and white Village trail, travelling through some of the most attractive villages in England including Weobley, Pembridge and Eardisland.
Ludlow is a thriving medieval market town and an architectural gem. The historic town centre and the 11th century Ludlow Castle are situated on a cliff above the River Teme and are surrounded by the beautiful countryside of south Shropshire and the Welsh Marches. Ludlow has a reputation for the quality of its food and drink, with many excellent restaurants and cafes.
Once the home of Prime Minister Sir Stanley Baldwin, this much extended country house is set in attractive grounds. Most of the bedrooms are in a purpose-built section adjacent to the main house and offer en-suite facilities, telephone, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, television. There is no lift, but ground floor rooms are available.
