We journey south and head to Warwick Castle. Your entrance to the magnificent medieval castle is included as you are taken back through its 1,000 year history to a bygone world of banquets, battles and ceremony. Stroll through the castle's delightful and lovingly tendered gardens, visit Tussaud's waxworks or if you're feeling brave, visit the castle's spine-chilling dungeons!
Today’s visit is to the National Memorial Arboretum. Set in 150 acres of woodland the Arboretum honours our fallen and recognises the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces. On arrival we are joined by a member of the team and escorted to the Millennium Chapel for the 'Act of Remembrance', followed by an introductory talkand a guided Land Train tour. This afternoon we continue to Litchfield Cathedral for a guided tour of this magnificent cathedral and learn about its wonderful history.
Our excursion takes us to the wonderful Barnsdale Gardens. Featured on BBC's Gardeners World, Barnsdale offers 8 acres of 38 inspiring garden styles and is often described as a "Theme Park for Gardeners". This afternoon we visit Rutland Water for a cruise with commentary aboard Rutland Belle calling at Normanton on the south shore to admire the wonderful views.
