Wine tasting. We enjoy an excursion to Grevenmacher on the Mosel. Set in splendid scenery, Grevenmacher is an important winegrowing centre. We have arranged a wine tasting at Bernard Massard. On returning to the hotel, we have arranged an optional short guided tour of the village.
Roman Trier. We enjoy a day excursion to Trier, the oldest town in Germany. Once the Roman regional capital, there are lots of well-preserved remains, such as the Porta Negra, Imperial Baths and Amphitheatre. Trier itself is a very attractive and pleasant town to explore.
Bustling Luxembourg City. We enjoy a short guided tour of the bustling capital, followed by plenty of time to see the sights. The City of Luxembourg is not only a historic UNESCO site, with its fortifications lining the steep valley, but also an important European and financial centre with imposing modern buildings. See the Grand Ducal Palace, the Bock and Cathedral of Notre Dame. Relax at a pavement café or restaurant in the pleasant Place d’Armes.
