We travel to Dover this morning for an early afternoon channel crossing. Comfort breaks will be made en-route to our overnight hotel, arriving in time for dinner.
Following breakfast, we continue on through Germany and into Austria arriving at our hotel this evening, in good time to familiarise yourself before dinner.
During the next five days we have included four excursions and a free day to explore our resort of Landeck, a popular shopping area with the towns landmark Schloss Landeck or Landeck Castle, dating back to the early 13th century. Experience the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck twice host city to the Winter Olympic Games. Explore the highlights of this charming Alpine city, including the most famous landmark of all, the ‘Golden Roof’.
This afternoon we call at Wattens for a visit and tour of the world famous Swarovski Crystal World. Our excursion today takes a scenic drive over the stunning Arlberg Pass, marvel at the amazing sights of the Austrian countryside and call at the pretty village of Lech and the stylish St. Anton.
Today we head to Jenbach where we board the fantastic narrow gauge railway to Seespitz, another unforgettable experience. We then continue on to Achensee where we take a cruise on the largest and most beautiful of Tyrolean lakes.
This morning we journey to Fugen and join the historic Ziller Valley steam train, a nostalgic journey through magnificent scenery to Mayrhofen whilst enjoying some live music and a glass of local schnapps en-route! The Zillertal is one of Austria’s most famous narrow gauge railways and has been in operation since 1902. On arrival in Mayrhofen you will have some free time to enjoy the lively atmosphere of this famous resort.
We depart our resort hotel this morning and make our way back through Germany to Belgium and our overnight hotel.
This morning we return to Calais and sail back to the UK. Comfort breaks will be made en-route as we journey back to the north east, arriving home late evening.
