In 1890 Claude Monet moved into the unusual pink and green house and created the gardens he wished to paint.
Monet lived in Giverny until his death in 1926 and produced many masterpieces in this tranquil and beautiful place.
Afternoon brief visit to rouen, which has many fine buildings, including a magnificent Gothic cathedral.
We travel along the Normandy D-Day Beaches via Ouistreham and Courselles, breaking for lunch in arromanches, where you can still see the remains of Mulberry Harbour.
We have included admission to Arromanches 360, which tells the story of D-Day and the liberation of Normandy.
Later we visit picturesque Honfleur, which has artistic connections and a beautifully preserved old port.
We enjoy a morning visit to Calvados du Lieu Chéri. We see the production process of Calvados Pays d'Auge, Pommeau, Cider, Perry, Apple juice, Apple liqueur, Cider confit & Cider vinegar.
We enjoy a one hour guided tour of the wine press, the cider cellars, the distillery and the calvados wine cellars.
